"Will CBD make me high?" There's still a lot of confusion about this, and the answer is a firm "No!"
CBD vs. THC
CBD (Cannabidiol) does not make you high or have intoxicating effects.
Typically, your CBD products will be extracted from hemp, not marijuana, both of which are varieties of cannabis. The cannabis plant contains over 100 different cannabinoids, of which CBD (Cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are the most commonly occuring. Hemp has more CBD than THC and marijuana has more THC than CBD. To be sold legally in the UK, CBD products must contain less than 0.2% THC.This low THC content ensures that CBD products do not produce a high when used as directed.
In fact, CBD can even counteract some of the intoxicating effects of THC by interacting with CB1 receptors in the brain in a way that reduces their activation.
So how will I feel after taking CBD?
You definitely won't lose control of your mind - as you would when taking illegal drugs or drinking alcohol.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is perfectly safe to take, giving you access to many of the medicinal properties of cannabis.
There won't be a sudden change in the way you're feeling. The best way to describe it - using my own and customers experiences, is that it's subtle. Whether you're taking it to support the relief of mental OR physical imbalances and conditions, the effect will be that of 'turning the volume down'! Often when talking to customers, they tell me that they didn't think CBD was making a difference. So they stopped. That's when they realised its power!
Hope that makes sense!
