So if you aren’t sure what it is and why it’s so popular these days here’s some basic information.
WILL CBD CURE MY ILLNESS? (SEE BELOW TOO)
IS IT SAFE TO TAKE?.
CBD is perfectly safe to take, however care needs to be taken when choosing who to purchase from. Like all industries, there are some unscrupulous suppliers around. To be sure that a company is trustworthy and safe, see if they make product Lab Reports easily available.
These are third-party tests that will tell give you a breakdown of the exact content of the product.
WHAT IS CBD?
CBD stands for Cannabidiol; which is one of 104 chemical compounds, known as cannabinoids, found in the cannabis plant. It’s a naturally occurring substance, which can be extracted and mixed with a carrier oil – often hemp seed or coconut – to create CBD oil, or with other ingredients to create CBD tablets, gummies, topical creams etc.
WILL I GET HIGH?
As mentioned above, unlike the most well-known cannabinoid, tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC), CBD is not psychoactive, meaning that it won’t make you ‘high’ – the sensation most commonly associated with cannabis.
IS CBD LEGAL?
The answer to this question is Yes and No! It just depends on where in the world you are. Organic Secrets UK Ltd is based in England – where it is LEGAL, and (at the moment) we only ship product to UK addresses. Please check the legal position in your own country by searching “Is CBD legal in .......”. Here in the UK, CBD products that are produced using Cannabis Sativa L. (hemp) are able to be legally sold as food supplements.
Hemp has been used as a nutritionally rich ingredient for thousands of years. It's also one of the oldest and most sustainable crops to be grown in the world. There are strict regulation in place with regard to CBD oil’s THC content: the THC level must be no greater than 1mg and extracted from hemp below 0.2% THC.
Don’t just take our word for it!
We encourage you to do your own research too.
WHY DON'T YOU MENTION SPECIFIC BENEFITS?
To continue thriving as an industry, which means that customers can continue to enjoy using CBD, companies must refrain from making medical claims as these are officially unsubstantiated. Non- compliance may result in the MHRA – the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Authority taking action and shutting down the industry.
So please understand that we can’t endorse unsubstantiated claims, as doing so would put our industry and your choices as a consumer in jeopardy.
